Have you always wanted to learn how to use all of those crazy knobs and buttons on your expensive camera? Or take pictures without using the automatic flash? Or wanted to capture "moments" rather than "cheese" smiles? If so, this is the beginner course for you! I've been teaching a similar class locally for the past 4 years. All of the lessons will be available for six weeks, so you can go at your own pace. There is material to read and lots of photo examples to teach along the way (not a video course). Assignments are included at the end of each lesson to help you practice the skills that are taught. Students may also leave questions (and I will answer them!!) and even upload photos based on the lesson for feedback!
Once payment is received, students will be able to log in to the class. Only the first lesson (basically an introduction) will be available until the scheduled start date of the course. On the morning of the start date, all lessons will be available and students can begin reading through them and working on assignments.
The lessons are meant to go in chronological order.
By the end of the Photo Crash Course, you will understand how to use your light meter to take properly exposed pictures (using ISO, shutter speed, and aperture) in manual mode. I will explain composition and how it effects your images and the use of natural light (including window light in your home!). There is also a lesson on getting children to cooperate and capturing them in their element. The class includes tips and tricks that I've learned along the way!
This class is for beginners. It is not meant for photographers with a business. Post processing, business methods, etc will not be discussed during this course.
Payment is due in full upon registration. Because of the digital nature of the course, all payments made are non-refundable. By registering for this class, you understand that it is self-paced and it is up to you to complete the course in the six weeks allotted.
